Introduction

The tour aims to let the young Australians take part in the transformation of slum communities by building houses for the poor in the GK Australian Village in GK Gerehu Stage 6, Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea. Throughout the two-week "Great Adventure" which will be held around September 2008, the participants will build and finish a home for a family, interact with the locals and learn about the GK programs of Education, Livelihood, Health, Community Empowerment and Shelter.

GK YGAT PNG will run from Sunday 14th September - Sunday 28th September 2008.

The proposed itinerary is yet to be determined.

Registration Fees

Registration fee covers all food, transport and accommodation for the 2 weeks. A down payment of $200 will be required by August 15 2008. This down payment is non-refundable.

Build sites will be available in:
PNG = $400AUD.

These fees are subject to change due to currency exchange rates.

**Registration costs do not include the airfare. Airfare from Australia to PNG is additional to the registration fee.
