On Tuesday 5th of May whilst on his visit in Australia, Tony Meloto attended a legislative assembly in Canberra where he was received by various politicians and citizens of Australia.
This was a great opportunity to raise awareness with more people, especially those working in the Australian Government. It shows that the Australian Government is not only concerned with issues such as the economic crisis, but also poverty and other countries that are greatly affected by such an issue.
Since GK's establishment, it has achieved many great things to fight poverty. This has helped raise the movement's profile onto the world stage, and is now being taken seriously.
During the remainder of his visit, Tony also took audiences in Sydney and Melbourne where he updated people on the progress of GK, and the Global Summit 2024, which will be held in Boston June 12-14.
