"Christmas in GK" - The GK Youth and ANCOP Christmas Party 2006 Date Posted: December 17, 2006 GK Youth and ANCOP Australia celebrated its "Christmas in GK" end-of-year party last Friday, 15th December at Campbelltown Youth Hall! There were plenty of fun games including "Bottle of the straws", "Hot chocolate musical pairs", "Share a plate" and the ultimate "GK X Y Z Game". The winners were all grinners during the night! The awardees for the Groovy Kool Bayani Awards 2006 were also announced after the audience voted for their favourite nominee for each category. Congratulations to our winners: 1. ANCOP Photo of the Year - Denis Reyes "Ouch! My hand is stuck!" 2. GK Youth Photo of the Year - Faustin Molina "Disqualified" 3. Best Live Song Performance - Kathy Santos "September Ba-De-Ya!" 4. Best Live Dance Performance - Bong Molina "Bomba" 5. Best Blooper of the Year - JD de la Paz "Ministry 'Inis'tration" 6. Favourite Behind the Scenes - Joel Ramirez "The Auto-Door" 7. Best "G K" Costume - Frenzel Ano "Mr. Geek" A beautiful song number was also performed by Cheryl Davidson with Frenzel Ano as the guitarist. This was followed by a video of the GKY GAT PNG 06 and a sharing from Joy Lopez. GK Youth and ANCOP Australia would also like to welcome back Therese Santos who stayed in the Philippines for 8 months as part of the AUSAID program with GK and was present at the Christmas party. The night finished with the "GK Down Under 2006" year-ender video and the participants of GKY GAT 07 led the audience in a few Christmas carols. A souvenir gift were also given to those that came to the party! We would like to thank everyone who came and participated in "Christmas in GK". A special thank you to those who brought gifts for GK kids in the Philippines and your kind donations for the Bicol appeal.
