GK 1 World was the theme for last years GK777 4th anniversary. A major launch and celebration of GK 1 World was held last 27-28 October 2007 at the SM Mall of Asia, Philippines.

The problem of poverty is massive. The response must not be undersized, thus GK777 - 700,000 homes in 7,000 communities in 7 years. To achieve this, it is necessary to bring patriotism and heroism into the mainstream.
GK 1mB (one million heroes) is a massive call to volunteerism and advocacy through the growing work of ANCOP USA and in GK villages (in the Philippines and elsewhere).

GK Youth Build Canada
GK Youth Build (GKYB) is an immersion program that gives Canadian youth an opportunity to participate in the transformation of poor communities while developing social awareness and leadership skills.
The GK Youth Build has been called “life-changing" and an "eye-opener" by those who have gone through the experience.

GK in Cambodia
CFC Cambodia, with its various ministries, took a bold stand in the fight against poverty by building its first Gawad Kalinga site in Dangkao, Phnom Penh, Cambodia. Reported cases of drug abuse and prostitution among teenagers alarmed the local parish priest which in turn opened the opportunity for the local CFC community to be involved.
GK's latest project - the GK Rafaella Village is now complete and here are some of the photos from the turn-over ceremony.

Gerakan Kepedulian Indonesia
Update: GK Club, a social service club in Jakarta International School visited GK Indonesia's 2nd site, Dumpit last 17th and 24th November. They are also raising funds for books which will be used in the GK organization's informal education program for out-of-school youth, had a Bake Sale and performed at their UN Day.

GK Youth in Vienna, Austria had a great time raising awareness for GK through their amazing event "Dance like a Hero".

Gawad Kalinga continues to touch the shores of other countries as more people embrace this heroic movement.
Singapore hosted The Love Concert last 15-16 September 2007 with unforgettable performances from their special guest Julia Abueva. Julia started the concert by singing "Paraiso" the GK Movie Theme Song followed by other songs such as "Home" and performed a "Better World" with Micah dela Cruz.
